Our client requested a mezzanine for their premises, which began with a site visit to capture the basic dimensions. We then developed the initial layout before returning for a second visit to mark out the support positions. During this visit, the customer had installed new machinery that interfered with the planned supports, requiring us to redesign the mezzanine to accommodate the updated ground

Our client wanted to install an outdoor fire feature built into the side of their house. The builder had already created an opening, and we designed the fire pit according to the customer’s specifications. During the design process, however, we recommended angling the roof structure above the fire to help draw smoke more effectively into the chimney.

An aluminium ladder was designed specifically to meet the needs of the road-haulage industry, providing safe and efficient access to the top deck of trailers. The customer required a solution that was both lightweight and strong, ensuring ease of handling without compromising durability or safety.

The customer was looking for a lightweight seat that could fold down into a bed for use in a camper van. This solution was designed in close collaboration with the customer to ensure it met their functional, space-saving, and usability requirements.

Our client required a manhole access door to be fitted to the tank to allow safe ground-level entry. This was a health and safety improvement, as the existing access point was located at the top of the tank. The modification involved cutting openings in the lower section of the tank and installing a fully watertight access door.

These units were designed as the internal structural framework for totems at the local shopping centre. The frames are fabricated from heavy box-section steel and incorporate stiffeners and attachment bars to ensure strength and stability. This job was completed for Scottish Water and involved fabricating a large support frame as part of a wider package of works. The frame required precision welding with zero tolerance for distortion. To achieve this, we used stays and strongbacks to hold the structure in position throughout the welding process, ensuring accuracy and stability.

This component formed part of a tunnelling system. It was fabricated from 10 mm rolled plate, with stiffeners welded around the circumference and along the horizontal axis to provide structural rigidity. This sundial is installed in a community garden. It was a one-off piece, programmed directly from a hand-drawn sketch, which was presented to the customer for approval. Once the design was cut, it was welded to a support bar that allowed it to be securely fixed to the tiled ground.

This Wi-Fi–themed design was fabricated from rolled pipe and a solid steel ball. Installed within a community park, it was created to allow children to climb and swing on it safely. The structure was fully coated to protect it from weathering and ensure long-term durability.

For this domestic installation, our client asked for a design that echoed the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. We created a series of custom insert panels inspired by his iconic motifs, bringing a touch of classic Glasgow artistry to a modern garden setting.

We installed a custom-made safety rail around the stage, completing the project with a durable coating in the client’s chosen colour to match the surrounding aesthetic.
